Nutrition Education
Nutrition education generally involves the process of breaking down the science of nutrition into tangible information to an individual or to a group of people. However, the source of the information, how the information is passed across, and how the information is received are of great priority to us at Impact Nutrition Africa.
We strongly believe that the source of an information is the power of that information. For us, it is evidence-based nutrition information or nothing. Information that makes up our nutrition education has to be backed up with research and science. Anyone tired of cooked-up theories and conspiracies around nutrition subject matters can trust us to give facts only.
It is one thing to have access to information and it is another thing to actually channel the knowledge gotten into everyday life. That is why for us, beyond sharing evidence-based nutrition information, we are particular about making nutrition education easy to understand and relatable enough to catalyze a positive behavioral change in people.
In this social media era, Impact Nutrition Africa is taking advantage of the digital world, using it as a tool to pass information to people and drive behavioral change. These social media platforms include Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Twitter, YouTube. The target audience is the general public, basically, anyone that has access to these social media platforms.
While the information shared might be the same on all of these platforms, the mode of delivery is different across each of the platforms. We understand that each platform has its own unique and acceptable content type and we tailor the delivery of our nutrition education to suit the uniqueness of each platform.
This doesn’t hinder our overall aim of initiating a motivation for positive behavioral change among the audience. When nutrition knowledge is at the disposal of people, there is hope for better health and overall well-being.
